FAQs About the Eola-Amity Hills (EAH) Winegrowing Region
Are there common characteristics of the EAH AVA wines?
While it is axiomatic that great wine is made in the vineyard and is a direct reflection of the terroir from which the grapes are produced, it is also true that the winemaker has broad power to shape the wine produced. Nevertheless, a constant that has emerged across many vintages, even warmer vintages, is a fresh fruit character and well balanced acidity produced in EAH wine grapes by the cooling westerly coastal breezes that reach the hills earlier in the day.
