Calamity Hill Vineyard & Methven Family Vineyards

Growing up with a French mother, Greg McClellan was fortunate enough to make yearly trips to the Loire Valley to visit family. Those trips quickly turned into trips throughout the cellars of France. After college, Greg decided to completely focus on learning about wine, starting with an internship at Ponzi Vineyards. The internship turned into a two year stint as their cellar hand, then morphed into the Assistant Winemaker position at Hamacher Wines. At that point Greg decided to leave Oregon and become a traveling wine intern in Australia, New Zealand and Burgundy. After a year of winemaking school in Beaune, France, Greg returned to Oregon and has been making wine ever since. In 2015 he accepted the position as winemaker at Methven Family Vineyards, working with the 100% estate vineyard at the winery.
